Why will Connor only nap lately if he's at my moms? Does he not like his bed anymore?

These are the tough questions I'm facing now.

I'm so excited I'm learning how to take cool pictures! Yay! I was afraid I'd end up not getting any of the stuff in my classes and sucking at it, but look! I made the water look all soft and pillow like! This is so fun!

Little Woman

Our little Macey isn't a puppy anymore. She's in heat and is now wearing diapers. I don't have any pictures of it because she's not very happy. It's kind of broken her little spirit which is really sad. So I just couldn't bring myself to publish her humiliation on top of it. After all, she is our little girl, not just our dog. But as sad as it is to watch her try so desperately to rub off the diaper, it's also just a good sign that soon we'll be able to breed her and have lots more little Macey's running around. (Temporarily until they find good homes of course!)

Gotta Love The Weather

Utah weather is so unpredictable it cracks me up sometimes. In less then a week it goes from being in the low 60's to what feels like the high 80's today. Yesterday it was perfect. Just warm and sunny. Not at all hot. Today I've been FRYING! Where did this heat wave come from? Time to get the 'ol swamp cooler going.

Happy Birthday Connor!

Connor's 2 year old birthday was on Saturday. I can't believe how big he is! Here are some of the pictures from his little party we had for him. Some of them were taken at my mom's work. Since she had to work all day, we went to visit her and Connor opened some presents.

Doesn't she look like she's having fun? My mom doesn't want me to show this picture but I had to because it just goes to show that no matter how old she gets, she never looks it and is always beautiful! And she's never too old to still have some fun! Happy Birthday mom!

Avon Calling?

Yes.. I've started to further explore my options working from home. Avon is my next 'experiment'. I haven't decided if I should do it yet or not. If I don't do it, I'll never know if I could have made any money at it. However if I do it, I wonder who I'm going to be able to get as potential clients and how am I going to get them? It's a relatively small investment to start. But I don't know if It's worth it. Does anyone even use Avon anymore??

Eating Healthy Never Tasted So Good!

My mom gave me a new cookbook that I LOVE!! Thanks mom! It's a diet cookbook that has TONS of really yummy recipes that you'd never guess were low in calorie and fat. The other day I made roasted ratatuille (I think that's how it's spelled and I'm too lazy to go check haha) with peppered marsala chicken. It was SO good! Then I made steak sandwhiches the next night. Would you believe that they only had about 300 calories?! Not bad! Anyway, I just had to share my joy. My love of cooking has been renewed with a healthy twist! Anyone want to come to dinner? :)

Update

I know my blog is even more boring then usual these days. I just can't seem to find anything fun to talk about. I guess I should do a small update though on what's been going on.
John has become even busier with work lately. He's starting doing engineering from home for his work. There is so much to do now that he simply can't get it all done at his shop. Add to that his school which will now be 3 days a week instead of 2 for the next quarter. He's a busy guy!
Alex has been off track the past 2 weeks, and is still off for 1 more. Connor has been enjoying having her home to play with, and I have enjoyed having Connor not want to constantly hang on me. Not that I don't like playing with him, but even mom needs a break.
On more fun news John and I get to have a mini getaway this weekend. Some friends have invited us to go with them to Wendover friday and saturday. That will be fun. We've really needed a "vacation" too. Even if it's just to Wendover for one night. But we have a trip to Vegas to look forward to this summer!
So that's it really. Nothing too exciting, nothing really new. Just the basics. :)

This Is SOO Funny!

My friend sent me an email about this and it was so funny I had to share!

Jay Leno went into the audience to find the most embarrassing first
date that a woman ever had. The winner described her worst first date experience.
There was absolutely no question as to why her tale took the prize!
She said it was midwinter...Snowing and quite cold... and the guy had taken
her skiing in the mountains outside Salt Lake City , Utah .
It was a day trip (no overnight). They were strangers, after all, and had never met before.
The outing was fun but relatively uneventful until they were headed
home late that afternoon. They were driving back down the mountain,
when she gradually began to realize that she should not have had that extra latte.
They were about an hour away from anywhere with a rest room and in
the middle of nowhere!
Her companion suggested she try to hold it, which she did for a while.
Unfortunately, because of the heavy snow and slow going, there came a point
where she told him that he had better stop and let her go beside the road,
or it would be the front seat of his car.
They stopped and she quickly crawled out beside the car, yanked her pants
down and started. In the deep snow she didn't have good footing,
so she let her butt rest against the rear fender to steady herself.
Her companion stood on the side of the car watching for traffic and indeed
was a real gentleman and refrained from peeking.
All she could think about was the relief she felt despite the rather
embarrassing nature of the situation.
Upon finishing however, she soon became aware of another sensation.
As she bent to pull up her pants, the young lady discovered her buttocks
were firmly glued against the car's fender.
Thoughts of tongues frozen to poles immediately came to mind
as she attempted to disengage her flesh from the icy metal.
It was quickly apparent that she had a brand new problem,
due to the extreme cold. Horrified by her plight and yet aware
of the humor of the moment, she answered her date's concerns about
'what is taking so long' with a reply that indeed, she was freezing
her butt off' and in need of some assistance!
He came around the car as she tried to cover herself with her sweater
and then, as she looked imploringly into his eyes, he burst out laughing.
She too, got the giggles and when they finally managed to compose
themselves, they assessed her dilemma.
Obviously, as hysterical as the situation was, they also were faced
with a real problem. Both agreed it would take some thing hot to free her
chilly cheeks from the grip of the icy metal!
Thinking about what had gotten her into the predicament in the first place,
both quickly realized that there was only one way to get her free.
So, as she looked the other way, her first time date proceeded to unzip his
pants and pee her butt off the fender.
As the audience screamed in laughter, she took the Tonight Show prize hands down.
Or perhaps that should be 'pants down. 'And you thought your first date
was embarrassing.
Jay Leno's comment...'This gives a whole new meaning to being pissed off.'
Oh and how did the first date turn out? He became her husband and
was sitting next to her on the Leno show.

Starting Off Right

I don't want to brag, that's not my intention. I'm just soo excited about my new weight loss efforts that I have to share! I'm making sure I keep my New Year resolution. And as result, I've already lost 5 lbs! Woo hoo!!! I know that's not a lot, but I feel good. :)
